I downloaded the music on filmmusic.io and used it for a video that took months to edit, but when I checked it shortly before uploading the video, the music was PREMIUM.

Is it impossible for me to use music that suddenly became PREMIUM for free?
Or do I have to spend a lot of time changing music and re-editing the video?

I'm sorry if this question was already in the Q & A, I couldn't find it.
I'll be looking forward to your reply. Thank you.

Please tell me what song. This should not happen.

I can not help you if you do not tell me, which song!

I'm sorry for the late reply. It is "A New Beginning" by Agnese Valmaggia

Yes, I see that the song is currently only usable with a PREMIUM license. The artist has apparently set the price to 5 euros.

You would really throw months of work over the pile - because of 5 euros? That already surprises me. It even shocks me a bit.

Of course, it should be the case that the license that was offered at the time of the download always applies.

Nevertheless, I have informed the artist that she should comment here. Pricing and licenses are in the hands of the artists, this is not the decision of Filmmusic.io.

Hi, I'm very sorry for this problem.

First, I would say that if you downloaded the song when it was free, you can still use it with that license, with no problem. So (if I'm the one who decides) you don't have to find another song, just use this one with the license that was offered when you downloaded it (like Sasha said).

Also, I thought I was free to change prize on my music; if that's not allowed I apologise Sasha. I saw the option in my "manage my music" page, and I thought it was ok. Also, I saw now I cannot change it anymore so I'm a bit confused. I can put it back like before if that can avoid similar problems in the future, I don't mind (but now I don't see that option anymore).
Maybe it would be better to have clear rules about what we can or cannot do (about changing prizes). Then I'll have no problems in following those rules.

Thank you Agnese for your answer.

Yes, there was previously the option for artists to change the licensing model at any time. I deactivated this yesterday in the meantime, because - as you can see - it can lead to irritations.

This was originally intended to be able to change PREMIUM to STANDARD.

But it is better not to provide this in the future.

Of course, I welcome suggestions on how else to solve this better? I have no idea right now.

It just crossed my mind: one possibility would be to only allow switching from PREMIUM to STANDARD but not from STANDARD to PREMIUM.

I think that should no longer be able to cause irritation? On the other hand, people might be annoyed because the song is suddenly also available as a standard license...

Ok Sasha, I understand.
Sorry for this misunderstanding and thanks for your explanation.
