The title is explained by all the suspense in this piece. Even though the melodies are beautiful and harmonic, there’s still this strange tension lying beneath. In my head the intro is right before the battle, then it begins, our beloved viking dies and he enters Valhalla at the end. There’s a lot of different parts in this piece, but the style and structure stays stable.
